The following information is provided to assist you with understanding the application process.
The City of The Colony only accepts applications when there is a posted job vacancy. A separate application for each position is required and applicants must specify the position for which they are applying.
A resume is not a substitute for an application but may be attached to a completed application form.
Applications and any required supplemental forms must be signed and dated.
The hiring department will contact candidates to schedule interviews.
Applicants that are interviewed will be notified by mail when a selection is made.
Job vacancies are posted every Friday on the bulletin board at City Hall, on the City web-site, the Cable TV Channel 16, the City’s job line @ (972)624-3199. Job vacancies are also advertised in the local newspaper.
Job applications can be picked up at City Hall, Monday through Friday between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.
